How do we work with couples to plan memorable luxury weddings?

Every wedding is planned with integrity and elegance to ensure that the entire event is the authentic representation of the couple.  I recently planned a wedding with several days of guest events for Mary and Jim, a lovely couple from New York who planned to have family and friends from around the world attend their destination wedding in Sedona.

Despite the geographic distance, I worked closely with Mary to lay out key elements for their dream wedding associated with entertaining their guests. All of this was accomplished through telephone calls and e-mails, as I didn’t actually meet Mary and Jim until just a few days prior to the wedding. 

Getting to know bride and groom

Building a relationship with Mary during the planning stages helped me to come to know her personally.  This allowed me to identify the perfect details required to suit her unique personality and style preferences.  I began to feel that I was planning a wedding for a close friend or family member.  That is always my goal – to make my client my friend.  There is great joy in bringing about the dream wedding events for a friend.

Planning a Greek wedding ceremony at a five-star Sedona resort

Mary and Jim’s desire was to have a Greek wedding ceremony and reception.  I soon discovered their desire for a luxurious, elegant and sophisticated venue that would include the magnificent red rock views of Sedona, along with the luxury of a five-star resort.  The result, a perfect destination dream wedding for a wonderful couple!

In addition, we planned a welcome “jeep ride” event with a wine and cheese toast a top the spectacular red rocks; a Grand Canyon side trip, and welcome “gift baskets” with specialty items delivered to all the guest’s rooms upon arrival, just to name a few.  Special services for hair and make-up were arranged in the bride’s guest cottage at the resort, which the bridal party loved before the wedding.

Magical twinkling lights under clear evening skies

Ambiance for the wedding reception evening was created with magical twinkling lights surrounding the garden cocktail party under clear evening skies.  As the doors were opened to the reception ballroom, guests entered in awe of the sight of the high walls softly draped with flowing fabric matching the wedding theme. 

The DJ announced their entrance into the ballroom with perfectly selected music.  The elegant tables were set with spectacular southwest floral arrangements and fabric draped chairs.  Guests were impressed by the beautiful array and variety of elegant cuisine at the food stations.  The festivities began with champagne toasts, fine food, drink, dancing and a joyous celebration of LIFE and LOVE. 

All of my planning for Mary and Jim’s perfect destination dream wedding came true to everyone’s great delight!
